New Year New Me

 It hit me on Christmas day how unhappy I was with myself. I had to make a choice and make a promise to myself to stick to it. So I decided new yr new me! I spend my days taking care of my boys and it hit me...I'm not doing a great job of taking care of myself. So I started a new diet with the help of a friend. I am already feeling so much better about myself. It makes me a better person, a better mom & wife.  I am excited to see what this year will bring. So I welcome 2012, let this be a great year full of wonderful memories and lots of laughter!

Our weekend away

Jody & I were so lucky to be able to go away for the weekend. We just celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary. This was the first time we were able to do something just the 2 of us. Very much needed! So nice to just be able to walk around & hold hands without chasing kids :) We ate at some amazing places & even saw some blue whales. So amazing it left us speechless.... We ended the perfect weekend by stopping by the Getty Museum on the way home to see some beautiful art.

Having a perfect Saturday morning. The weather couldn't be better. Connor and I spent the morning working in the yard. He was very excited to get to use his new gloves! For the first time in yrs my flowers are doing great! No animals to eat them ;) Now to get ready to go swimming with friends!

Been a while!

So as you can see I have a hard time keeping this up! Still getting the hang of the whole blog thing :) We have had a busy month! For Father's day I suprised the boys on their 3rd suprise Father's day weekend. We went to Old town Sacramento. We had a blast at the train museum and getting to ride the old steam train! Connor was in heaven :) Last weekend we went camping with a group of friends. Had a rough start with our truck breaking down but still ended up having a good time. It's always nice to spend time with friends that you don't see to offten. Connor is in swim lessons and is doing great! He put his head under the water 3 times today! So proud of him! Cooper is finally walking! I think I was excited more than anyone ;) He is so cute to watch walking around...still so tiny! We are enjoying the cooler weather this summer has brought. It's just going by way to fast!!

What a month!!

The first week in April is so busy! My birthday is on the 4th then Coopers is on the 7th and finally my brothers is on the 10th...ahhh then maybe a little rest after that! I had a fun birthday, went to big hat days in Clovis & then out to dinner with friends and family! So much fun ;) Cooper also had a great 1st birthday. We had 25 friends & family over to celebrate. Ate pizza & cake yummy! Even though he was not feeling to great he still had a good time. This week is spring break & I am trying to stay busy. Trying to have fun with my boys and get ready for the wedding I am working this weekend :) Easter was great, spent it with family. Love watching the boys have so much fun!!

3 yrs olds

I'm having a hard time adjusting to the 3yr old stage. When one minute everything is fine and then in a blink of an eye the world has been turned upside down. How do you get a 3yr old to listen to you? I have tried many different things and so far nothing has worked. Night time is the hardest, but I just take it one day at a time and hope for the best the next day. I know it is just a stage and he will hopefully grow out of the screaming and hitting soon :) Cooper has also been off his game a little. Not sleeping and he LOVES to sleep.  Hoping its just a tooth coming in and not much more. Hes crying again so im off to calm him down. The life of a mommy :)

Rainy day

So I have been following a few other blogs and thought I would try one out for myself. I love being able to see what everyone is up to and how the kids are doing. Plus, it has been raining all day so I thought what a better day than today right? Today was pretty uneventful. I shopped for Cooper's birthday :) Can't believe it will be here so soon!
